Welcome! I am Stephanie "Vina" Marz, the owner and Speech-Language Pathologist at the Bend Speech Express. I have been in private practice since 2002 serving Central Oregon children and their families. I am an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist since 1995. I specialize in children's speech-language therapy for preschool to school-aged children.
I specialize in working with children who have a variety of communication needs. I help children who are not yet talking, who speak using only a few words, who are difficult to understand, who have specific articulation errors, who are stuttering, or who have a tongue thrust. I also help children who have difficulty understanding or using language. Language is complex leading some children to have problems with social relationships, academics, and simply getting their message across to others.
At the Bend Speech Express, I evaluate and treat children's speech and language. I work with the child and family to achieve goals in a fun and effective way. Parents are welcome to observe and participate during therapy sessions. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where the child enjoys learning to communicate. Effective speech and language skills are part of the foundation that will help children to be successful throughout their lives.
