Welcome! I am Stephanie "Vina" Marz, the owner and Speech-Language Pathologist at the Bend Speech Express. I have been in private practice since 2002 serving Central Oregon children and their families. I am an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist since 1995. I specialize in children's speech-language therapy for preschool to school-aged children.
Parents seek my services for a variety of reasons. Some parents are concerned because their child is not yet talking or is not talking enough. Some parents notice that their child does not speak clearly, has specific articulation errors, or is stuttering. Other parents may become concerned if their child is having difficulty with social relationships, or difficulty in school with academic subjects stemming from language issues. Language is complex leading some children to have problems in understanding or using language effectively.
At the Bend Speech Express, I evaluate and treat children with a variety of speech and language issues. I work with the child and family to achieve goals in a fun and effective way. Parents are welcome to observe and participate during therapy sessions. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where the child enjoys learning to communicate. Effective speech and language skills are part of the foundation that will help children to be successful throughout their lives.
